- BEQUEST/PLANNED GIVING | Leave an impactful legacy by incorporating Hearth into your estate planning. Leave a designated amount of money or a percentage of your estate to Hearth. Retirement planning, qualified charitable distributions, and bequests are just a few of the ways you can support Hearth’s mission long into the future. Your gift entitles your estate to a federal estate tax charitable contribution deduction. Please contact our Development Director if you would like to discuss these options .
- DONOR-ADVISED GIFTS | Hearth welcomes gifts made through donor-advised funds, a program of a public charity that allows you to make an irrevocable contribution and then recommend grants to qualified nonprofit organizations on your own timetable.
- EMPLOYEE MATCHING GIFT | Many employers will match charitable gifts made by you. See if you can double your impact with an employer matched gift!
- HONORARY OR MEMORIAL GIFT | Honor and celebrate a loved one by making a gift in their name. Donors making a tribute gift can choose to add an additional email address and send a personal note explaining what inspired them to give. Please contact Hearth’s Development office to learn how to direct funds to Hearth from a Memorial Fund.
- IN-KIND DONATIONS | In-kind donations of needed items are a great way to help Hearth’s elders feel at home and to help our organization run more efficiently.
- STOCKS AND BONDS | Did you know that donating stock is up to 20% more valuable than donating cash, allowing you to make a more impactful contribution, and an added deduction on your taxes. Gifting stock avoids federal capital gains tax and often donors can also claim an income tax deduction for the stock’s full value. Marketable securities can be transferred directly to our brokerage firm.
