Hearth’s Inspire Action Gala 2025 – A Night to Remember

This year’s Inspire Action Gala raised over $200,000 to support Hearth’s mission. Thank you to all who made this possible!

On October 16th at Venezia Restaurant in Boston, hundreds of Hearth’s supporters gathered for a truly incredible evening of fun, powerful stories, and most importantly, profound impact. Hearth donors, board members, staff, residents and guests joined in supporting Hearth’s mission to end older adult homelessness in the Greater Boston area. The event reminded us that while the issue of homelessness continues to grow at alarming rates, there is hope through the combined action that was on clear display at the gala.

Honoring Dr. Howard K. Koh

Dr. Howard K. Koh is the Harvey V. Fineberg Professor of the Practice of Public Health Leadership at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the inaugural Chair of the Harvard T.H. Chan Initiative on Health and Homelessness and a member of the Faculty Executive Committee of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative. He is also Co-Director of the Initiative on Health, Spirituality and Religion at Harvard University and formerly headed the School’s Center for Public Health Preparedness.

As the 2025 Anna Bissonnette Award recipient, Dr. Koh spoke of his experience and connection to the crisis of older adult homelessness, citing decades old encounters with one of Hearth’s founders, Anna Bissonnette. Most importantly, he reminded the audience of the shared responsibility of those both in the room and across the Commonwealth.
