Director of Institutional Advancement

Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8 AM to 4 PM with flexibility.

Position Description

Hearth, Incorporated, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization with a mission to provide housing with clinical service supports to Massachusetts’ neediest elders, a staff of 100, and an annual operating budget of $4+ million, seeks an accomplished manager in the field of institutional advancement to oversee its fundraising and public relations. The Director of Institutional Advancement will supervise a staff of two, be a pivotal member of the Hearth Senior Management Team, and provide staff leadership to the Board Development Committee and Nominating Committee.

This position comes at a time of significant growth in both the organization and its fundraising activities. Having developed seven facilities in 24 years of operation, Hearth is currently looking to expand its unique services further and anticipates growth of almost 80% over the next three to five years. In light of this expansion, Hearth seeks a talented development professional who can work with the staff and board to build commensurate new capacity in organizational development particularly in the areas of: major gifts solicitation, capital fundraising, organizational branding and positioning, and board development.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least five years’ experience in institutional advancement and/or fundraising with at least two years’ experience in major gifts solicitation; prior supervisory experience is required; advanced degree in a field related to institutional advancement is preferred. Compensation

Salary Range: 80,000 – 100,000

In addition to the salary range listed above, successful candidates will receive thirty days of paid leave per year and full insurance benefits.
