CEO Corner: Reflecting on Progress, Driving Toward the Future

As we reach the midpoint of 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the many ways our mission has come to life so far this year. Just this week, we hosted our Rise Up: Bonding Over Lunch event—a powerful gathering that brought together Hearth clients, residents and community partners in celebration of the commitment and progress we’ve made together. Events like these remind me why we do this work and how vital community is in ending elder homelessness.
We’ve had several exciting milestones this year that speak to both the strength of our partnerships and the growing recognition of the need to support older adults:
- The Cummings Foundation awarded Hearth a generous $150,000 grant over the next three years, helping us deepen our impact and broaden our reach.
- In June, Point32Health hosted our first Community Day of 2025, bringing together residents from all seven Hearth buildings for an afternoon of food, games, and connection—a celebration of community in its truest form.
- We proudly recognized World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, elevating the voices of vulnerable older adults and reaffirming our commitment to ensuring every senior can age safely and with dignity.
These are just a few highlights from a year already filled with momentum. And we’re not slowing down.
As we move into the second half of the year, our sights are set on continuing to drive support for our programs through meaningful engagement and fundraising efforts. Our annual Gala, set for October 16, promises to be a night of inspiration, purpose, and impact. We hope you’ll join us.
Thank you for standing with us—because nobody should grow old without a place to call home.
