Arts ‘n Crafts Group Leader

Hearth is looking for a volunteer to facilitate crafts projects with a small group at Olmsted Green in Dorchester.

Depending on the residents’ interests, the volunteer can help residents with craft projects they are already working on (knitting experience is a plus!) or suggest/facilitate new projects.

Requirements

• Creativity and experience completing a variety of arts and crafts projects (bonus for thriftiness!)
• Experience working with the elderly or disabled is a plus but not required
• Enjoy working with the elderly and disabled
• Patience and flexibility
• Individuals must pass a CORI check and complete the volunteer orientation
• Ideally the group would meet weekly; minimally once-a-month.

Location

Hearth at Olmsted Green is located in Dorchester and is accessible by three bus lines. Free off-street parking is available.
