Hearth Receives 2006 Leadership Award
March 16, 2006We are extremely proud to announce that we have just been notified by the National Alliance to End Homelessness of Hearth's selection as the recipient of its 2006 Leadership Award. Each year the Alliance, which is the largest homelessness prevention advocacy group in the country, awards only three leadership honors (one each to a government agency, a private citizen or corporation, and a nonprofit organization to those they feel have made the most significant contributions to ending homelessness in the country. Our ward for nonprofit leadership will be presented at a ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in April, before Congressmen, HUD officials, and other leaders in the movement to end homelessness.
We are deeply honored to receive this award and are grateful for the national recognition of the outstanding work of our staff, volunteers, friends and the entire Hearth community. Thanks to all of you for the support which makes this innovative and effective work possible.
